Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas to all!

It’s been an interesting year, hasn’t it boys and girls? We still have a few more days left in this year. And…………. it might get a whole lot more interesting before the end of the year. Not to mention early next year.

All of you are aware that this is not going to be peaceful, no matter how much we pray for peace on earth. There is not going to be peace. That festive color of red and green? The green will be laid over caskets and the red will be blood running in the streets.

I’m sorry. It sounds a tad bit morbid, doesn’t it? We have lost our country. Even if President Trump wins the election, do you really think these people are going to quit and go home? They have been systematically trying to overthrow our government for years. It is blatant in our face now. Our vote means nothing. The courts at all levels, including the Supreme Court, are corrupt. Local governments, state governments and our federal government are corrupt.

Now it is in our face everyday. They don’t care. One small example. You can go to a drive in theater on a Saturday night and watch a movie, but you can’t go to that same drive in theater on Sunday morning and participate in the religion of your choice.

If you have not wrapped your head around what is going on yet, then I don’t know what to say. Many venues have been talking about what is here now, and they have been talking about it for years, what is coming. Boys and girls, you better not pout, you better not cry. You have been warned for years.

Does this sound like doom and gloom? Well, yea, it does. Because it is. I live in southeastern Oklahoma, one of the most conservative places on the planet. We are surrounded in every direction by conservative. I thank God everyday for the many gifts that He has given Fern and I.

I hope you have food, water, protection.  I hope you have a plan. If you truly believe that this thing will pass or get better, then you are not in touch with reality. Sorry.

We haven’t had much to say lately. What is there to say? All news sources lie. All of them. For the most part, that includes conservative news sources.

Today, here, the sun is shining, we have a mild breeze out of the north, the temperature will get up to about 45*. It is just a beautiful day. For that, I am thankful.

Fern & I hope that you and yours have a very Merry Christmas. Celebrate the holidays however you choose. You can still do that for the most part. There are some places you can’t worship or gather, but that’s your choice. You’re the one that made the choice to be where you are.

Our 1st & 2nd Amendments are under a brutal attack.

There is just not much left to say. Keep your head down. Please be sober. Pay attention. Avoid crowds. Hopefully, we will all weather this thing, because when it rains on you, it rains on me.

I didn’t mention COVID. You’re going to have to formulate your own thoughts on that one. People die everyday and they have for a long, long time now.

Either way, I look forward to what’s coming. My flag is still blowing in the breeze. The church down the road still has their cross up.

I know that hope is a poor strategy, but I hope to live my time on earth as peaceful as possible, and I hope that you do, too.

Merry Christmas all. May God and Peace be with you.

We’ll talk more later,  Frank

It Ain’t Over Yet

 Hello Everybody, Frank here.

Well, well, well. As stated in the title in this very short piece, It Ain’t Over Yet.

No official group has declared former Vice President Joe Biden as the next President of the United States of America. The media for the most part, has declared Joe Biden as the winner, but that’s not the case. World leaders have sent their congratulations to Mr. Biden. Some would say they are putting the cart before the horse. Of course, Senator Mitt Romney was one of the first to congratulate Mr. Biden.

I take it you are reading the news. You’ve seen the stories about computer glitches, fake mail in ballots, official observers being barred from polling places, not to mention dead people voting. That should tell you something. You don’t have to control the whole country. Here in Oklahoma, a small state, it doesn’t have to be controlled. The results of the election were well known ahead of time. States like California and New York, the results were known there also. There are about ten states where it was close. If you take a couple of big cities in those states and control a couple of precincts or districts, then you can control that city’s outcome, and that city will help contribute to the control of that state.

Some look at this as a nationwide problem. It’s actually much smaller than we think. Take for example, the header and picture in this article.

There is a link above going to the Wikipedia article, please read it. Did Dewey defeat Truman? No. Truman won by a landslide. Read the Wikipedia piece, it’s not long.

I don’t know who is going to win the election, but I do know that it ain’t over yet. What I do know is that our government is corrupt to the core. Does that mean every man and woman is corrupt? No. But it does mean that the system is corrupt to the core.

We as a country, WE the PEOPLE of this country, WE are in serious trouble.

We’ll talk more later,  Frank

Open Thread, October 3, 2020

Well, folks. The world still turns and gets stranger every single day. There are many people that daily outline the events taking place around us – political, criminal, availability of everything from food to ammo to canning supplies to baby chicks to anything, you name it.

Right now, and all day everyday, we request your prayers beseeching the Almighty for the quick, total recovery of our President and his beloved First Lady, President Donald J. Trump and First Lady Melania Trump.

The turmoil, unrest, and uncertainty of the future of our country appears to grow everyday. Every single day. There is something that happens, information that comes to light, or the placement of one more piece of a puzzle that is so deep and wide that it truly seems beyond the human mind to fathom.

So we step back, take a breath and attempt to decipher what is real, what is conjecture, opinion or outright lies and fabrications. Then we go outside and enjoy what we have been blessed with. A beautiful place to live. Flowers. Hummingbirds. The final harvesting of the garden.

The sweet potatoes are dug and curing in the greenhouse. We grew three varieties to compare productivity and flavor. We will use those potatoes and plants for next year’s crop.

The only other things left in the garden are okra and peppers, which are declining since we are already having lows in the 40’s and 50’s. The turnip greens are growing well, they like the cool weather. The spinach is trying to grow, something killed all of the lettuce and it needs to be replanted. Yes, we are still growing some food stuffs. But it’s going to be an early winter this year, or so I have been feeling for about a month now. I would recommend you stock as deep as you can and prepare for a long, cold winter. Just a feeling.

We are canning chicken today. Baking the last dozen we had in the freezer and getting them all on the shelf. Next week we will start butchering our older laying hens to can as well. The young hens are laying well and we are over run with eggs. We also have another batch of young chicks that will start laying in January. So we have meat and eggs on the menu for part of a future food supply.

The goats are drying up. Three does are due in January. One more doesn’t seem to be bred or show any indication of doing so. We don’t know what is going on with her. Braum’s (an ice cream store in our area) has started selling A2 milk which is a very pleasant surprise. Our vet is drinking it with great success. He hasn’t been able to drink milk in years due to a gut issue. That proves to me that there really is something to the A1/A2 issue. We are buying milk from Braum’s to get us to January and our own fresh supply again.

Just walking into a store now days is a strange, eerie experience. Half of the people look at each other like they are scared to be around anyone, another half is wearing masks and doesn’t like the ones that aren’t, the other half just tries to act normal, but hardly anyone talks. It’s quiet and suspicious. I know that’s three halves, but you’ll just half to deal with it.  Just like living in this dystopian virus controlled world.

My mom is now on hospice and continues her slow steady decline. I haven’t been able to go into the nursing home to see her since March 12th. It kills me to go see her through the window and not be able to touch her and hug her. Knowing there are hundreds or thousands of others in the same predicament doesn’t make it any easier, but I am very empathetic to the pain it causes so many of us in these days and times. A person we know just lost a healthy, active parent with underlying conditions to this virus. It hits close to home since they were younger than Frank.

Pray for our President and First Lady for there are those that take joy in their sickness. These people that wish our President and First Lady harm are part of the deep, entrenched, putrid, decay of our country. If they win the election, if they take over, we are doomed. If you are not prepared for either outcome, I fear for you.

Please share what is going on in your neck of the woods. We are all in this together and we all need help from each other. Please share. Be safe. Stay healthy. Be extremely vigilant. Use discernment in all you read, watch and believe. Pray for guidance always.

Until next time – Fern

You Can’t Go Back

Things are changing in the world. Quickly, with a complexity that cannot be fathomed. There are too many variables, too many players, too many possible outcomes to be considered, combined and deciphered. We have many daily conversations about a myriad of topics all of which leave us wondering what in the world will happen next.

Here are some topics we have been thinking about. We would really like to know what you think. There is much afoot in the world and it’s difficult to see through the haze, and listen through the cacophony of blaring noise that surrounds the world of information everyday.

The Queen’s speech indicates the UK will have Brexit and leave the European Union on October 31st. Now Boris Johnson has made a deal with the EU. It still has to go through a vote of the Parliament. I don’t know how the governmental system of the UK works, I have not studied it. But we see similar disagreements and attacks on Boris Johnson that we see here with President Trump. The UK voted years ago to split from the EU and become their own country again. From what I can gather they were tired of unelected bureaucrats in Brussels deciding things for them. They want their country back. There are other countries across the globe that seem to be on the same path.

Turkey, Syria, the Kurds and the USA. Very interesting situation. Almost the entire Congress disagreed with President Trump. What happened? A cease fire. The events of the 120 hours or five day “pause” may usher in a new era of peace in a region that has known war for decades. The resultant relationship between the USA and Russia may be an added benefit from the events taking place in the region. I read recently that President Putin said the relationships between our countries could be much better if it weren’t for the political upheaval in our country. He understands why President Trump can’t meet and work with him at this time.

Then there is this underlying hum of information from groups across the globe. Groups supporting their own countries instead of globalism. Imagine that. I applaud any country/culture/peoples that have a national, patriotic pride for their own country. We are not all the same. We are not. And we shouldn’t be. There is nothing wrong with being different. Unless, of course, you don’t like anyone that’s not like you. Please read this tweet.

I think President Trump put it quite well. They are coming after us. Just like the EU is going after the UK. I have no problem with a country running their own affairs the way they see fit. I am forever grateful for being born in the United States of America. I don’t want to wear a burka or be banned from driving a car. But you know what? If other countries have different laws and customs than we do, that’s okay. We don’t have any more right to impose our customs and beliefs on another country than they have the right to impose upon ours. We have enough trouble within our own borders, we don’t need more coming in to muddy the waters even further. We don’t have to abide by Sharia law, we have to abide by US and local laws. If you want to come here, learn to speak English and abide by our laws. Otherwise, go back where you came from.

There are many issues that aren’t being addressed here. The border wall. ILLEGAL aliens, they aren’t immigrants. The constant attempts to impeach President Trump. Endless wars all over the world. The unbelievable fake news stories coming from the mainstream media. Attacks on religion. Always attacks on the 2nd Amendment. These are just a few.

The header for our last article said, “I miss the America I grew up in.” And we do. The civility of yesteryear is not to be seen except in the rearview mirror of time. But you know what? We can’t go back. Why would we want to? That would be like the movie Ground Hog Day, reliving these same mistakes over and over and over. Why would we want to return to a system that could lead us right back to the same problems we face today? We may return here even faster the next time since we already know the way. Besides, why would we keep trying the same thing again expecting different results? Some say that is the definition of insanity.

What we need is a new system. There are a number of groups that support a variety of changes to the current system. John Mark and Curt Doolittle support a system they have devised called Propertarianism. There are a number of people that see a financial reset to a sound money system that does away with fiat currency and the debt cycle we have created with the world wide central bank systems. There are others that see no way out of the cycle of hatred and division in our country outside of an all out civil war. Regardless of how this all plays out, it is abundantly clear that things will continue to change. There is no way our country, and therefore the world since we are all so intimately interconnected in this day and time, can continue on the current course without massive, destabilizing change occurring. The question is where do we go from here? What will it look like?

Add one more dimension to the mix. The food supply. The climate of our planet has gone through many changes over many centuries of time. Sometimes warmer, sometimes colder, but always changing. Until the last hundred years or so, there wasn’t enough man made activity to impact any of these climactic changes and they happened anyway. The problem is not man, the problem is man’s ability and willingness to observe the changes and take steps accordingly. Running around crying the sky is falling, the world will end in 12 years, we have to become cannibals and start eating babies (which was an actress sent to disrupt a presentation), does not address the issue of the food supply.

There are those that insist we have too many people on the planet to feed. There are those that think the growth in population is due to the overproduction, through chemical means, of franken-foods. Either way, the current solar output from the sun is affecting the weather which in turn affects the food supply. Over the last few years, weather has impacted food production across the globe, some areas are flooded, some are too cold, some are too hot and some have droughts. Is this normal? Maybe a little more extreme than at other times? I tend to believe the solar minimum we are experiencing is bringing on one of the times of climactic change that may have a drastic impact upon mankind. Others see it as a challenging time that will pass just like it always has in the past.

When you add these things all together, what do you see? Are countries pulling back, trying to increase their independence from the interconnectedness of the world because the food supply is going to be impacted in such a way that there will be shortages? Will there be starvation? Just from the impact of weather, diseases like the swine fever that is decimating the hog population in China? Crop failures like corn, hay and soybeans in the US this year? How does that impact the meat and milk supply when farmers can’t feed their animals?

Are we going to stop participating in the endless wars as President Trump calls them because we need to draw inward? Bring our troops home to deal with whatever problems are going to arise here from food shortages, to hatred, and division? Peace where there has been war for generations is a good thing. I am all for it. I think there is more going on behind the curtain than the good will of some of the leaders of the nations of the world. If we could really see behind the curtain would it cause panic in the streets all across the globe?

The events unfolding all across the globe will take us to a new point in time. A different way of life. We can’t go back, it’s impossible. I’m not sure where we are going or how bumpy the ride will be before we arrive at our new ‘home’. What I do know is that things are changing. As for Frank and I, we will continue to prepare. Some things can’t be fixed. Some cancers can’t be cured. Sometimes things die.

Your thoughts, wishes, desires and insight would be appreciated. If need be, we’ll see you on the other side. Until that time, keep your powder dry and watch your back. And never, ever get on the bus.

Until next time – Fern

Playground Politics

As retired educators, we have witnessed the behavior of children on the playground, in the hallways, and in classrooms for many years. The other day as we were talking about the latest he said, she said, who reported what on our current political process, I commented to Frank that it sounded just like the kids on the playground. “He touched me!” “She’s breathing my air!” “They won’t let me play with them!” “They’re hogging the ball and won’t throw it to me!” Waaa, waaa, waaa, whine, whine whine. That’s just about all I get out of any media report on the tit-for-tat behavior of the people that are currently running for political office, except for one individual that just won’t play by the ‘usual’ political playground rules. He really makes everyone mad, he just doesn’t play right.

Why is it that politicians now days run around trying to appease everyone? Aren’t they adult enough to know that is impossible? Can’t they look around at our country and our world and deduce the simple fact that we don’t need another leader that will try to run over and smooth all of the ruffled feelings of the latest group or country that gets upset by some trivial nonsense like the color of napkins at a social function? Don’t they realize that they are weakening our country at every turn?

Every day, usually more than once, or twice, or three times, there are headlines about the latest accusation, slight, slam or brouhaha between one or more politicians. Like this, Fellow Dem Blasts Clinton for Server ‘End-Run’. Or this, Carson, Trump Battle for Evangelicals. Or this, Bobby Jindal Slams Donald Trump as ‘Egomanical Madman’ and ‘Carnival Act’. Or this, Donald Trump and Ted Cruz Forge an Unlikely ‘Bromance’. And then there is this, Kerry Tells Putin to Back Off. Like our country has the right to tell other countries what to do?

Would we let them tell us what to do? Well, since the leadership of our country appears to have all turned into wimpy appeasers, maybe they would. What is the point in all of this bickering, fear mongering and one-upmanship? Distraction? Entertainment? Brainwashing? I think it wears people down until they don’t care who wins, just get them off of the television, internet and radio so they can watch Oprah reruns and enjoy their cheese doodles. I do find it interesting that Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump make the news everyday. Everyday. The media is either using this coverage to elevate their stature in the eyes of the average citizen, or demonize them. I can’t decide which.

The behavior of the people that are running for the highest office of our land is truly disheartening. If any of them win the election, and we can only assume one of them will, I can’t see how it will bode well for our country, or for the world for that matter. If they conduct business here in this country and around the world the way they conduct their campaigns, we will continue down the same path to destruction we are currently traveling at break neck speed.

Can you picture any kind of foreign relations discussions being conducted in the same manner the candidates relate to each other and their constituents on a daily basis? Back biting, name calling, whining and sniveling about the latest snub, insult or disagreement. What a pathetic state human beings have fallen to in their incessant grab for the ‘big time’. Got to make that big money, so you can buy the big McMansion, fill the driveway with big SUVs, go on big vacations and do everything in their power to out-do the next guy down the street. Is that truly all that matters to the masses anymore?

No wonder the politicians act the way they do. Now I get it. They act just like the vast majority of the people. They all act like the bimbos and idiots on television, they’re rude, uncaring, morons. When I see a slice of humanity at a store or at some public function, it pains me to see how robotic and unaware they have become. I think that is the reason we are plagued with playground politics. Too many people haven’t developed beyond the stage of maturity they reached when they were still on the playground. They have never had to be responsible for their actions or inaction. There is always someone else that will take care of things or take the blame if things don’t work out.

There is that big safety net provided to everyone, even people that aren’t citizens of this country. You know. The government is here to help you with anything and everything under the sun. And who makes up the government? Those same people that continue to practice playground politics. Remember that anything they say during a campaign is a lie and means absolutely nothing. As soon as they take office, everything they said immediately becomes null and void. What is said on the playground, or on the campaign, stays on the playground, and if you were truly expecting them to fulfill the promises they made, you will be sadly mistaken. Remember the faces we made as kids when you put both hands to the sides of your face, waggled them around, stuck out your

tongue and did that nanny, nanny, boo boo thing? That’s what the politicians do once they take office. I just picture them standing around with their important friends having a great laugh at our expense. They take us for buffoons with no clue as to what is really going on. You know what? I resent that.

There are still many good people in this country that are truly sickened at what we have allowed our elected officials to become. People that are doing everything within their power to prepare for what

they know without a doubt is coming down the pike. Don’t be distracted by what is happening on the playground. We are living in serious times, times which are no laughing matter, times where if the government comes knocking, they won’t be playing. NDAA now allows the government to do anything they want, anytime they want, to whoever they want. Stay alert and aware of what is really happening around you and in the world. Don’t be distracted by what isn’t really happening, dig down and discover the real news, not the playground news. Don’t stoop to the level of playground interactions with others no matter how irritating and stupid they may act.

Those that choose to live their lives utilizing playground rules will be totally unprepared when civilization slides into anarchy and chaos. They will want to know where their welfare check is and who is going to bring them a drink of water and a pizza. Who is going to make sure they have their drugs, both legal and illegal? Who is going to make sure they have all of their psychotropic drugs so that they can cope with reality? Reality, that’s a

laugh. That’s what they find on those ‘reality’ TV shows, right? Yea, that’s really how people live, or will live once the SHTF, just like those people on the survivor program. Except when they are kicked off the island or whatever fantasy land they’ve been sent to, like the truly hospitable FEMA camps, there is no home to go back to. It’s all gone, burned to the ground by rioters that were ‘upset’ because someone told them they wouldn’t be able to watch those big screen

televisions they got when they looted their neighbor’s store. Why? Because the power grid went down, never to be heard of again. That’s the mature, adult way to handle serious, life threatening situations, right? Go loot big screen televisions that you will never be able to watch while you wait for someone to bring you some water and a pizza.

Folks, we live in perilous times. Perilous times indeed. If we do have an election next year, one of the Bozos we have running for office will be elected President. It’s another choice between evil, eviler or evilest, and none of them, not one, has your best interest at heart. The lure of power and greed has blinded our nation to the point that any means justify the end. And the prevailing attitude of the Washington establishment is this, “What difference does it make?”

The choice you make now to prepare, is what can make the difference for you. Don’t let the opportunity pass you by.
